Lorenzl Goldscheider Art Deco figure - "Pierrette mit Maske"
Vienna Austria c1925, depicting a Pierrette in a stylish floral
decorated outfit. This is a beautiful figure with fine airbrushed decoration
and it is attributed to both Lorenzl and Dakon on page 409 of the
book Goldscheider: History of the Company and Catalogue of Works.
Stefan Dakon 1904-1992. Along with Lorenzl probably now one
of the best known of the Art Deco period designers for
Goldscheider (working from 1924) sculpting a wide range of stylish
figures depicting the "modern" woman. He worked in bronze, spelter
and ceramic and also designed for the famous firms of Katzhutte,
Goebel and Keramos.
